Linear Shaft Support Rails and End Stops

PBC Linear offers inch aluminum support rails to provide full-length shaft support of linear shafting. These shaft support rails are undrilled for use with linear shafting.

The Steel Shaft Aluminum Rail Assembly is a two-piece shaft and support rail assembly consisting of a steel shaft, hardened to a minimum of RC60, attached to a predrilled aluminum support rail for instant bolt-down installation. The shaft rail assembly is ideal for use in applications where high load carrying capacity is essential, and is designed to be used with Simplicity FrelonGOLD® linear plain bearing and ball bearing products.

The Ceramic Coated Shaft, Aluminum Rail Assembly is a two-piece shaft and support rail assembly consisting of a hardened steel predrilled shaft attached to a predrilled aluminum support rail. A ceramic-like coating provides hardness up to RC70 and increased corrosion resistance making it optimized for use with Simplicity FrelonGOLD® lined products.

The 440 Stainless Steel Shaft Aluminum Rail Assembly is a two-piece shaft and support rail assembly consisting of a hardened stainless steel predrilled shaft attached to a predrilled aluminum support rail.

PBC Linear offers steel low support rail to provide full-length support of linear shafting. The AISI C-1018 steel shaft low support rails are undrilled for use with linear shafting. With a 40% lower profile than other support rails, this is an excellent choice for applications requiring compact, low shaft support.

PBC Linear offers low support rails made of steel to fully support linear shafting along its length. These low support rails, constructed from AISI C-1018 steel, come predrilled and are designed for use with pre-drilled linear shafting. With a profile 40% lower than alternative support rails, this option is ideal for applications demanding compact, low shaft support.

Precision case hardened and ground shaft, plus a steel low support rail, effectively doubles the life of the shaft by allowing it to be turned over for a fresh surface when wear becomes evident. Both sides of the shaft are counterbored so the shaft may be rotated 180°, and rebolted for use on the new side. This guide is sold as a two-piece set; the shaft and support are not assembled. The guide is then bolted down through the top of the shaft to reduce installation time.

A precision case-hardened and ground shaft, combined with a steel low support rail, effectively extends the shaft's lifespan by enabling it to be flipped over for a new surface when wear occurs. The shaft features counterbores on both sides, allowing it to be rotated 180° and reattached for use on the fresh side. This guide is sold as a two-piece set, with the shaft and support unassembled. Installation time is minimized by bolting the guide down through the top of the shaft.

The PBC Linear Aluminum End Support Block (NSB) can be used for end or intermittent shaft support. The aluminum end support block is lightweight and strong, and can be used with all shaft types. Ideally, they should be used where deflection between supports is not a problem.
