Round Shaft Linear Bearing Catalog Page

Round shaft linear bearings use cylindrical shafting, typically ceramic-coated aluminum, hardened steel, or stainless steel, to support smooth, accurate straight-line axial motion in machinery. These bearings use sliding or rolling elements along the bore’s inner diameter to reduce friction as the bearing travels along the shaft. Compared with square profile rail systems, round shaft designs offer a simple, versatile format that works well across a wide range of mounting layouts, shaft materials, and operating conditions. PBC Linear round shaft technology includes plain linear bearings, linear ball bearings, and mounted units such as pillow blocks, flange bearings, and open-shell pillow blocks with track rollers that run directly on the shaft. Plain linear bearings use a FrelonGOLD® liner for self-lubricating sliding performance, making them maintenance-free and well suited for harsh environments involving dirt, heat, vibration, contamination, or washdown exposure. Linear ball bearings use recirculating steel balls for low-friction rolling motion, higher-speed travel, and applications where the 2:1 binding rule for plain bearings may be a concern.
