Simplicity® Self-Lubricating Plain Linear Bearings, Roller Bearings & Linear Ball Bearings
The Linear Bearing portfolio at PBC Linear—supported by over 15 pending patents and manufactured in a 200,000-square-foot facility in Roscoe, Illinois—includes plain sliding linear bearings, linear ball bearings, and roller pillow blocks engineered to address a wide range of motion and load requirements. Our Simplicity® Plain Linear Bearings use a self-lubricating FrelonGOLD® PTFE liner to deliver maintenance-free performance in harsh environments, operating from -400°F to 400°F while resisting dirt, vibration, and shock. The round shaft variants of these bearings support rotary, linear, and oscillating motion.
Linear Ball Bearings are cylindrical for round, precision-ground steel shafts and feature a durable heat-treated outer ring, quiet resin retainer cage, and recirculating steel balls to provide low-friction, high-speed performance while avoiding the 2:1 binding ratio associated with plain bearings. For heavy-duty applications, Roller Bearing Pillow Blocks utilize sets of three coated rollers within an open housing to run along rail-supported shafts, supporting loads up to 350 kN and compensating for uneven surfaces.
Plain and ball linear bearings are available in inch, metric, and JIS metric sizes, with inner diameters matched to common shaft diameters, and offered in open, closed, or adjustable designs, including regular, double-sized, flange, and pillow block mounts. Size interchangeability with industry standards ensures compatibility for both rotary and linear motion systems, guided by the POSTLUDES framework for precision, orientation, speed, travel, load, and environment.
