Linear Bearings from PBC Linear

Linear Bearings

Linear bearings are precision-bored mechanical components with open or closed housings that incorporate low-friction elements along the inner diameter that slide or roll in a straight path on shafts or profiled rails.  We manufacture Simplicity® Plain Linear Bearings featuring a self-lubricating FrelonGold® PTFE liner for maintenance-free sliding in harsh environments. Our Linear Ball Bearings include a durable heat-treated outer ring, a quiet resin retainer polymer cage, and low-friction steel balls for speed. Our Roller Pillow Blocks come with single, double, or twin sets of coated steel rollers in an open housing, designed to roll along rail-supported steel shafts for heavy-duty applications. Plain linear bearings support rotary, linear, or oscillating motion, while ball bearings avoid the 2:1 binding ratio associated with plain bearings. Both types are available in single, double, pillow block, and flange mounts, and in inch, metric and JIS metric sizes. Plain bearings also include variants such as sleeve bearings, square bearings, and die set bearings.
