Twin Roller Pillow Blocks
Ways to Order
Twin Roller Pillow Blocks (TWN) use two sets of 3 opposing roller bearings in an extended housing equivalent to two Single Roller Pillow Blocks (SPB) joined together. Each roller set includes 1 fixed side roller, 1 eccentric side roller for alignment adjustment, and 1 top support roller. Unlike Double Roller Pillow Blocks (DPB), which provide two roller sets in the same standard SPB footprint, TWN pillow blocks spread the two roller sets across a longer body for greater support, stability, and moment load resistance. For imperfect parallel shaft alignment, use a floating “F” part number, such as an F-TWN pillow block, opposite each normal part number block. Optional spring-tempered beryllium copper scrapers can be mounted on each end to help clear debris, and an optional top grease lubrication port is available for easier maintenance. FUBK Series replacement kits provide 1 new roller for each of the 3 rollers in a set, so order two replacement kits for TWN products with two roller sets.
- The twin TWN blocks, like the double DPB blocks, have two sets of 3 opposing rollers that double the load capacity of a Single Roller Bearing Pillow Block (SPB) which has just 1 set of 3 opposing rollers
- Each set of roller bearings consists of 1 fixed side roller, 1 eccentric side roller and a top support roller. The eccentric opposing roller in each set helps account for any small misalignment
- Floating pillow blocks should be used for each opposing block when running on parallel shafts.
- Replacement kits of the FUBK Series include just one set of 3 opposing roller bearings, so be sure to buy two FUBK replacement kits for this product and other double or twin roller bearing pillow blocks.
