Linear Actuators

Linear actuators combine a linear guide system with a drive mechanism and power source to produce precise, controlled straight-line motion. They can be classified as pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, or mechanical. PBC Linear specializes in electric and mechanical variants powered by lead screws, ball screws, or belt drives, including motor-driven options. Belt-driven actuators provide long strokes with low maintenance requirements, ball screw-driven types offer high precision and load capacity, and lead screw-driven models deliver cost-effective, quiet operation with optional anti-backlash nuts. These actuators are available in a range of screw diameters, lead sizes, and lengths, and, for a power source, can be configured for manual control—using hand brakes or cranks—or integrated with NEMA motor-driven electric systems. Carriage motion is supported by either Gliding Surface Technology, featuring self-lubricating components, or Ball Bearing Profile Rails suited for cantilevered loads. Options span from miniature to heavy-duty models, supporting loads up to 83,400 N (18,750 lb) and strokes up to 6,000 mm (236 in).
