Miniature knob-controlled lead screw linear actuators in the MR-LS series combine compact Mini-Rail guidance with an integrated lead screw drive in 15 mm and 20 mm wide linear guide variants, with optional NEMA 17 motor mounting for automated control. Designed without rolling elements in the guideway, MR-LS uses Simplicity® sliding bearing technology to avoid catastrophic ball-bearing failure while providing quiet, maintenance-free linear motion in compact applications.
The system features a ceramic-coated aluminum linear rail and anodized aluminum carriage with a self-lubricating FrelonGOLD® liner beneath the carriage. This sliding liner delivers smooth motion, vibration and shock resistance, corrosion resistance, and reliable performance in dirty or demanding environments. Precision and Compensated carriage configurations are available, with Precision running clearance from 0.025–0.051 mm and additional clearance in the Compensated version to better tolerate misalignment.
MR-LS uses a right-hand knob rolled 304 stainless steel lead screw with PTFE coating and a self-lubricating polyacetal anti-backlash nut for controlled, repeatable positioning. Available in MR15LS and MR20LS sizes, the system supports rail lengths up to 640 mm and offers eight lead options. Accessories include a NEMA 17 motor mount kit, hand knob, and hand brake, making the lead screw driven Mini-Rail a compact, durable solution for small automation, medical, laboratory, packaging, electronics, and light-duty positioning applications.
