Lead Screw and Belt Driven Linear Slide Actuators - SIMO UG Series
Ways to Order
A lead screw linear slide actuator is a motor-driven linear motion system that uses a threaded screw and traveling nut to move a carriage along a guided sliding surface. A belt-driven linear slide actuator uses a motor-driven timing belt and pulley system to move the carriage along the rail, typically for applications requiring higher travel speeds. In the UG (SIMO®) Series, the UGA product line is designed for lead screw configurations, while the UGT product line is available with both lead screw and belt-driven configurations. The UGA product line provides a compact, low-profile actuator for space-constrained installations, while the UGT product line uses a taller rail profile for greater rigidity and structural support. Both product lines can use self-lubricating Gliding Surface Technology™ with a FrelonGOLD®-lined plain bearing that glides along an anodized aluminum rail for smooth, quiet linear motion without rolling elements. High-speed cam V-roller guidance is also available. The UGA and UGT product lines are manufactured using the low-part-count SIMO process, which machines key aluminum rail and carriage surfaces in a synchronized pass to simplify assembly and improve straightness, twist control, flatness, and dimensional consistency. Actuators in both product lines are designed for use with stepper motors, including NEMA 17, NEMA 23, 40mm, and 60mm options, and can also accommodate servo motors and custom motor mounts. Available configurations offer car and rail cross sections from 24mm × 73mm to 40mm × 100mm, horizontal payload capacities up to 1,348 lb (5,996 N), and stroke lengths up to 1,900mm (74.8 in).
