Linear Bearings

Linear Bearings manufactured by PBC Linear® include three main types: self-lubricating plain linear bearings, linear ball bearings, and roller bearing pillow blocks, all adhering to industry size standards.

Simplicity® Plain Linear Bearings feature a self-lubricating FrelonGold® PTFE liner for maintenance-free operation in harsh environments, resisting dirt, heat, and vibration. They support rotary, linear, or oscillating motion in open and closed designs, with options in inch, ISO Metric, or JIS Metric sizes. Simplicity bearings come in standard-size, double-size, pillow blocks, flange mounts, sleeve bearings, and die set bearings.

Linear Ball Bearings have a heat-treated outer ring for durability, a resin retainer polymer cage for quiet performance, and low-friction steel balls for enhanced speed, avoiding the typical 2:1 binding ratio of plain bearings. Linear ball bearings are offered in the form of standard-sized, double-sized, pillow blocks, and flange mounts.

Roller Bearing Pillow Blocks consist of single, double, or twin sets of three opposing coated steel rollers in an open aluminum housing, rolling along rail-supported steel linear shafts for robust heavy-duty performance.

• Optional liners include Frelon® J for corrosive chemical conditions and Frelon® W (FDA compliant)
• Temperature Rating: -400°F/+400°F or -240°C/204°C

• ID Sizes: Available from 1/4" to 2” Inch Series, and 8mm to 50mm Metric Series
• Static Load Capacities: Up to 1700 lb (7900 N)
• Dynamic Load Capacities: Up to 850 lb (3800 N)
• Interchangeable: Size interchangeable with industry standards and the Simplicity plain linear bearing series
• Low Coefficient of Friction: Ensures smooth operation
• Heat Treated Alloy Steel Shell: Provides durability
• Resin Retainer: Reduces noise
• Double Seals: Included as standard at no additional cost

Specifications for Roller Bearing Pillow Blocks:

• Use a floating "F" part number for each opposing block on parallel shafts to accommodate imperfect alignments.
• A set of opposing roller bearings consists of 1 fixed side roller, 1 eccentric side roller (to account for any misalignment) and a top support roller
• FUBK Series replacement kits include one new roller for each of the three in a set
• Order two replacement kits to cover more than one set of opposing bearings
