Gliding Surface Linear Guides are maintenance-free linear motion components that provide smooth, low-friction travel without rolling elements. Instead of balls or rollers, these guides use precision plain bearing surfaces with a proprietary Frelon®Gold liner bonded to the carriage and rail, eliminating metal-to-metal contact and reducing wear in harsh environments. The ceramic-coated aluminum rails and anodized aluminum carriages resist corrosion and contamination, making Gliding Surface guides well suited for washdowns, caustic environments, clean rooms, medical devices, packaging equipment, and other applications where debris or fluids would compromise traditional recirculating-ball systems. Higher-profile variants include dual parallel shafts machined into a single rail for built-in alignment, simplifying installation and improving rigidity. Available in a range of profiles and sizes, these guides deliver dependable performance with minimal maintenance.
- Maximum Speed: 300 SFM (Surface Feet per Minute, indicating how many feet the carriage travels in one minute)
- Temperature Rating: -400°F/+400°F (-240°C/+204.4 °C)
