Gliding Surface Linear Guide Catalog
Gliding surface linear guides use precision plain bearing surfaces rather than rolling elements to provide smooth, controlled linear motion. A carriage with a bonded bearing liner glides along a rail, eliminating metal-to-metal contact and allowing the system to operate quietly with low friction and minimal wear.
PBC Linear gliding surface technology (GST) uses lightweight aluminum rails with ceramic-coated running surfaces and anodized carriages lined with proprietary FrelonGOLD® material. This self-lubricating interface creates maintenance-free operation while resisting corrosion, contamination, and wear in demanding environments. Product families such as Mini-Rail®, Low Profile Mini-Rail®, and Uni-Guide™ provide compact linear slide solutions that are well suited for applications requiring smooth motion, compact profiles, and reliable performance where debris, washdowns, vibration, or temperature extremes can compromise rolling-element systems.
