Linear Ball Bearing - Bushing

Linear Ball Bushings

Cylindrical linear ball bearings for round steel shafts use recirculating steel balls to provide low-friction rolling element motion along a straight-line axis with one degree of freedom. Compared with plain bearings, they are better suited for higher speeds, longer strokes, and overhanging cantilevered loads where the 2:1 binding rule can be a concern. Linear ball bearings from PBC Linear use heat-treated alloy steel shells for durability, precision steel balls for smooth travel, resin retainers for reduced noise, and standard double seals to help keep contaminants out. Available configurations include closed, adjustable, open, self-aligning, double-size, and compact thin-wall designs, with the IP Series for inch sizes, EP Series for ISO metric sizes, JP Series for JIS metric sizes, IPS Series for self-aligning inch bearings, and KHP Series for compact thin-wall ISO metric bearings. Inch, ISO metric, and JIS metric sizes are offered from 1/4" to 2" and 5mm to 50mm, with dimensional interchangeability to industry standards and PBC Linear Simplicity® plain linear bearings. These bearings operate across temperatures from -4°F to +176°F (-20°C to +80°C). Pillow block and flanged linear ball bearing assemblies are listed separately for applications that require mounted housings.
