Double Linear Ball Bearings
Ways to Order
Twin-sized linear ball bearings are extended-length linear bearings that use recirculating balls for fast, low-friction travel on round linear shafts. While plain linear bearings can bind when cantilevered loads exceed the common 2:1 ratio guideline, twin-sized linear ball bearings help support higher moments and offset loads by providing the equivalent support of two standard-sized bearings mounted back to back. The longer bearing surface improves rigidity, load distribution, and shaft guidance, helping reduce rocking, twisting, and deflection when supporting overhung components or applications with greater moment-load requirements.
Each bearing features a steel outer cylinder for strength and dimensional stability, a polymer ball retainer that guides the recirculating balls quietly for consistent motion, hardened steel balls for low-friction rolling contact, and two double seals to help retain lubrication and protect against contamination. Available in inch, metric, and JIS sizing options, these bearings are fully interchangeable with industry-standard linear ball bearings and the Simplicity® series. ID sizes range from 0.25 in to 2 in and 8 mm to 50 mm. Flanged twin-sized variants are also available with end and center mounts.
