Roller Pillow Block Linear Bearings

Linear Roller Bearing Pillow Blocks

Roller pillow blocks use open aluminum housings with coated steel cam rollers that run on rail-supported round shafts for high-load, long-travel motion. SPB pillow blocks use one set of three opposing rollers, while DPB pillow blocks keep the same housing footprint but add a second roller set to provide twice the dynamic load rating. Twin roller pillow blocks also use two roller sets, but in an extended housing equivalent to two SPBs joined together for added support and stability. These pillow blocks align with steel linear shafts from 0.5 in to 3 in diameter and use standard mounting hole patterns that are interchangeable with many recirculating ball bearing blocks for easier integration. Designed for dynamic loads from 800 lb to 12,500 lb, they provide fast, smooth, and quiet travel across extended support rails in industrial automation, material handling, and heavy-load motion applications. The self-aligning design helps simplify installation, while black oxide coated 52100 chrome steel rollers push contaminants aside for reliable performance in dirty environments. Lubrication ports and scraper options are available to improve durability and ease maintenance. Compared with linear ball bearings, cam roller pillow blocks can provide up to eight times the load capacity, along with reduced friction, quieter operation, and strong long-travel performance on standard or joined rail systems.
