Lead Screw Linear Actuators - LC Series
Ways to Order
Captive pusher lead screw linear actuators are compact integrated linear actuators in which one end of the lead screw is retained, or “captured,” within the motor assembly to produce controlled push-pull linear motion. In the LC Series design, the lead screw nut is injection-molded directly into the motor rotor so that when the motor rotates, the integrated nut rotates internally and drives the lead screw linearly with the load while the motor housing remains stationary. The load-bearing output shaft is fully supported within the integrated housing, eliminating the need for external guides or supports and simplifying system design.
The compact internal architecture promotes smooth, quiet operation and stable linear motion in space-constrained automation and positioning applications. The lead screw and nut threads are PTFE-coated to reduce friction, minimize wear, resist contamination, and help prevent coating flaking over time. Integrated angular contact bearings improve thrust capacity, reduce deflection, control runout, and maintain positioning accuracy with minimized backlash throughout the actuator lifespan.
These actuators are available in NEMA 08, 11, 14, 17, and 23 frame sizes with imperial lead screw diameters of 0.138, 0.188, 0.218, 0.250, and 0.375 inch.
