Linear Ball Bearing Pillow Blocks - Closed Single
Ways to Order
Closed-shell, single-size linear ball bearing pillow blocks use an inserted standard-size bearing inside a rigid aluminum alloy housing to provide compact, high-speed linear motion, especially in cantilevered, overhung, and offset-load applications where they avoid the same 2:1 binding limitation that applies to plain bearings. Heat-treated alloy steel bearing shells, recirculating steel balls, and polymer resin retainers support smooth operation with a low coefficient of friction and reduced operating noise, while double seals help retain lubricant and protect against contaminants. PBC Linear® offers these pillow blocks in inch sizes from 0.25" to 2" and metric sizes from 8mm to 50mm, with static load capacities up to 1,700lb (7,900N) and dynamic load capacities up to 850lb (3,800N). Sizes are interchangeable with industry-standard dimensions and corresponding Simplicity® plain bearings. Precision Plus® self-aligning versions are also available, using floating internal ball raceways to accommodate minor shaft and housing misalignment. Operating temperature ranges from -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C).
