Closed Linear Ball Bearings
Ways to Order
Closed-shell linear ball bearings use recirculating ball bearings for low-friction travel on round linear shafts. The closed shell fully surrounds the shaft, making these bearings best suited for end-supported shafting where the bearing can travel without interference from a continuous shaft support. Built with a heat-treated alloy steel shell for strength and a polymer resin retainer to help reduce noise and friction, these bearings are well suited for applications with cantilevered or overhung loads because they are not subject to the same 2:1 binding limitation found in plain bearings. Available in inch, metric, and JIS sizing options, these linear ball bearings are fully interchangeable with industry-standard designs for easy replacement or system upgrades. Open and adjustable versions are also available for applications that require shaft support clearance or running-clearance adjustment. Double seals are included at no additional cost to help protect the bearing from contamination and support reliable performance in demanding motion environments.
