Linear Slide - Uni-Guide Linear Guide

Linear Slides - Uni-Guide™

Linear slides are sliding-element linear guides designed to carry loads in harsh conditions that can cause rolling-element guides to seize, bind, contaminate, or fail. Linear slides of the Uni-Guide linear guide series use a two-piece rail-and-carriage design with self-lubricating FrelonGOLD® bearing liners bonded directly under the carriage where it meets the guide shafts, rather than separate bearing inserts or rolling elements. The carriage glides on the machined surfaces of a ceramic-coated aluminum rail, creating a smooth, maintenance-free plain bearing linear guide with reduced tolerance stack-up, vibration damping, and strong resistance to shock loads. Available in carriage widths of 75 mm, 100 mm, and 125 mm, Uni-Guide linear slides feature an anodized aluminum carriage and rail lengths up to 3,600 mm (141.7 in). The simple two-piece construction makes installation straightforward in new or existing applications because the rail-and-carriage system is designed to drop in without complex alignment. Gliding Surface Technology™ helps Uni-Guide perform in demanding environments with temperature extremes, heavy particulates, washdown, and severe vibration. With no rolling elements in the guide system, there is no risk of catastrophic ball-bearing failure, making Uni-Guide a durable choice for applications that need quiet, reliable, low-maintenance linear motion.
