Linear Ball Bearing Pillow Blocks - Open Single

Single open linear ball bearing pillow blocks are standard-width bearing assemblies designed for supported round shafts and profiled linear rail systems. The open bearing and housing provide clearance for the shaft-support structure, allowing the pillow block to travel along continuously supported shafts where a closed bearing cannot pass over the supports. Standard variants use recirculating hardened steel balls running in a heat-treated alloy steel bearing shell, with a resin retainer to reduce noise and a low coefficient of friction for smooth linear motion. The aluminum alloy pillow block housing provides a rigid mounting platform, while industry-standard dimensions allow interchangeability with comparable linear bearing pillow blocks and corresponding Simplicity® series sizes. Self-aligning Precision Plus® variants are also available within the single open pillow block range. These versions use floating internal raceway elements that can shift slightly relative to the bearing shell, helping the rolling elements remain aligned with the shaft when minor shaft or mounting misalignment is present.
