To begin, each of these three MTB versions share common characteristics, including a high performance urethane belt drive contained within a fully enclosed outer body. This enclosure allows these actuators to work effectively and efficiently in applications where resistance to environmental particulates is vital to optimal performance and long life. In addition, all three actuators are equipped with stainless steel band-strip seals on the top of the unit, with magnetic strips to keep the seal tight, further keeping contaminates out of the unit.

For a quick reference and comparison on each MTB actuator, we have created an outlined below regarding their dimensions, thrust capacity, stroke length, and belt size. For all three actuators, peak speed capabilities are consistent at 3 meters/second (118.11 inches/second).

MTB042 Belt-Driven Actuator

  • Max stroke length: 2 meters (78.74 inches)
  • Belt: 12 mm wide

MTB055 Belt-Driven Actuator

  • Size: 55 mm x 55 mm extruded square body
  • Peak linear thrust: 820 newtons (184 lb)
  • Max stroke length: 6 meters (236.22 inches)
  • Belt: 16 mm wide with 14 steel cords of reenforcement

MTB080 Belt-Driven Actuator

  • Size: 80 mm x 80 mm extruded square body
  • Peak linear thrust: 1650 newtons (370 lb)
  • Max stroke length: 6 meters (236.22 inches)
  • Belt: 25 mm wide with 23 steel cords of reenforcement
