The MTS Series belt-driven linear actuators are the high-rigidity, high-load option within the MT actuator family, using dual external recirculating ball profile rail guides with two runner blocks per carriage. Compared with the MTB Series, which uses a single profile rail guide for fast, open, long-travel motion, MTS actuators add a second guide rail for increased stiffness, higher moment load capacity, and stronger carriage support. Compared with MTE enclosed belt-driven actuators, MTS prioritizes load capacity and rigidity over drive protection in contaminated environments. A steel-reinforced belt drive with adjustable tensioning supports consistent performance over long stroke lengths, while the lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum structure helps minimize friction, noise, and vibration. The dual-guide design makes MTS actuators well suited for heavy payloads, large moments, gantry systems, machine loading, material handling, pick-and-place systems, and other automation applications that need fast belt-driven travel with greater stability than single-guide actuator platforms. Available in carriage and rail cross sections from 74 mm x 55 mm to 105 mm x 80 mm, MTS belt-driven linear actuators support horizontal payloads up to 20,200 N (4,541 lb) and stroke lengths up to 6,700 mm (263.78 in).
