Miniature non-captive lead screw actuator with a 6mm screw diameter, 1mm lead, and 250mm length, featuring a non-rotating lead screw that passes completely through the motor assembly to move and accurately position loads. The programmable NEMA 17 single-stack stepper motor (42mm frame size, 39.8mm motor length) incorporates a rotating internal anti-backlash nut that converts motor rotation into linear motion, allowing either the motor assembly to travel along a stationary screw or the screw to move axially through a stationary motor. Position, speed, acceleration, direction, and travel can be programmed using a compatible external motion controller and motor drive.
The precision-rolled 300 Series stainless steel lead screw features a PTFE coating to reduce friction and wear. The round internal anti-backlash nut incorporates PBC Linear's Constant Force Technology™, using uniform spring-loaded radial pressure to maintain thread engagement, reduce axial play, and compensate for wear, improving positioning repeatability. Manufactured in the USA, the actuator delivers a lead accuracy of 0.003in/ft (76µm/300mm), up to three times better than typical industry specifications.
