Twin Linear Ball Bearing Pillow Block IPPW04G 1/4″ Closed

Linear ball bearing pillow block with two inserted 1/4" ID closed-shelled standard-size bearings mounted back to back inside a double aluminum alloy housing. The twin configuration increases the bearing span for greater load support and stability. Heat-treated alloy steel bearing shells, recirculating hardened steel balls, and resin retainers provide durable, low-friction motion with reduced operating noise. Linear ball bearings are well suited to cantilevered, overhung, and offset-load applications because they handle off-center forces without the same 2:1 binding limitation that applies to plain bearings. Double seals are delivered at no extra cost.

  • Linear ball bearing pillow block with two inserted 1/4" ID closed-shelled bearings
  • Twin/double-width housing with two bearings mounted back to back
  • Closed-shelled design for end-supported round shafts
  • Increased bearing span for greater load support and stability
  • Well suited to cantilevered, overhung, and offset-load applications
  • Handles off-center forces without the same 2:1 binding limit as plain bearings
  • Low coefficient of friction for smooth, high-speed linear motion
  • Heat-treated alloy steel bearing shells for durability
  • Resin retainers help reduce operating noise
  • Double seals standard for lubricant retention and contaminant protection
  • Requires external lubrication for proper bearing performance and service life
  • Recommended lubrication: ISO VG 32–68 turbine oil or No. 2 lithium soap grease
  • Lubricate the bearing and shaft before first use
  • Re-lubricate periodically based on load, speed, stroke, temperature, contamination
  • Temperature range: -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C)
  • IPPW inch-series ID sizes: 0.25" to 2"
  • Interchangeable with industry-standard sizes and Simplicity® plain bearings
