JIS Plain Linear Bearing FJN38 38mm Open Shell
Open shell plain linear bearing with a JIS 38mm ID, precision running clearance, durable green anodized aluminum shell, and a bonded self-lubricating FrelonGOLD® liner that facilitates smooth linear, rotational, or oscillating motion on round shafts in harsh conditions where contamination, vibration, shock loads, washdowns, temperature extremes, lubricant maintenance difficulties, or poor machine accessibility can make rolling element bearings harder to maintain. This oil-free bearing provides maintenance-free operation without the need for grease. FrelonGOLD® also provides vibration dampening and reliable performance from -400°F to +400°F (-240°C to +204°C), while compensated and precision ID running clearance options allow the bearing to have more or less play on the shaft.
- Plain bearing with green anodized aluminum body for round shafts
- Open shell provides clearance for rail-supported shafts and profiled linear rails
- Precision running clearance: 0.0005" per side for less shaft play
- Variants with closed shells are available with the part number FJ
- JIS refers to Japanese Industrial Standards for metric tolerance compatibility
- Self-lubricating FrelonGOLD® liner supports maintenance-free operation
- Oil-free design eliminates grease for cleaner operation in harsh environments
- Bonded liner design resists dirt, vibration, shock loads, and debris ingress
- Provides vibration dampening for smoother performance in demanding machinery
- Self-lubricating bearing design brushes away dirt instead of trapping debris
- Temperature rating: -400°F/+400°F or -240°C/+204°C
- Optional FDA-compliant Frelon®W liner for food-contact and drug handling
- Optional Frelon®J liner for corrosive environments and non-touch food/drug apps
- Optional stainless steel shell and housing for washdown or corrosion-sensitive use
- Optional urethane seals for ID sizes 20 mm and larger
- Optional JKM lubrication system (zirk fitting thru hole, felt wick)
- Valuable when machine downtime costs more than the bearing itself
