V-wheels are precision cam roller bearings with a v-shaped running surface designed to travel along matching linear rails (v-rails), 90-degree tracks, or compatible round shaft surfaces. Such v-roller linear guide systems are one major guide style alongside round shaft guides, other cam roller guides, ball bearing guides, and gliding linear slides. PBC Linear V-Wheels for the V-Guide® series of linear guides use a dual-row angular contact bearing design for strong load handling, smooth travel, and reliable performance in guided motion assemblies. Available in 20mm, 30mm, 45mm, and 60mm outside diameters, they are offered in several material and sealing variants: standard VW wheels use 52100 bearing steel with shielded protection for applications with minimal contamination; VWS wheels add permanent sealing and lubrication for lower-maintenance operation and improved protection from dust and moisture; VWSS wheels use 440 stainless steel for corrosion resistance; and VWSSXD wheels add double-sealed stainless steel construction for harsher environments requiring additional contaminant protection.
