Steel Rail Standard Linear Guides
Ways to Order
Steel Rail Standard linear guides are cam roller linear guide systems that use a fixed U-shaped steel rail and a moving aluminum carriage to provide smooth, controlled linear motion. The high-strength aluminum carriages use three to five steel cam rollers that run along the hardened steel raceways. Concentric rollers carry the load, while eccentric rollers provide adjustment to remove play and set preload for greater rigidity and stability.
Adjustable preload allows the carriage to be tuned for the application while maintaining low rolling resistance and consistent contact with the rail. Steel Rail Standard supports dynamic loads up to 19,650 N and combines high rigidity with smooth travel for demanding automation and material handling applications. Integrated oil-soaked felt wipers continuously lubricate the raceways, while scraper blades help remove dust, debris, and other contaminants before they reach the rolling surfaces.
Steel linear rails are available in lengths up to 3,200mm with pre-drilled mounting holes. Standard counterbore mounting uses flat-bottom recesses for thin-head screws that sit flush or below the rail surface, while custom countersunk mounting can be selected through the Configure option for tapered screws that sit fully flush. The combination of hardened steel raceways, adjustable cam rollers, compact aluminum carriages, and integrated lubrication makes Steel Rail Standard well suited for high-speed automation, material handling, machine building, and other industrial linear motion systems.
