Steel Rail Standard Linear Guides
Ways to Order
Steel Rail Standard linear guides use high-strength aluminum carriages with 3–5 steel cam rollers running on U-shaped ground steel linear rails. A linear rail is the fixed track that defines motion, while the carriage (slider) is the moving component that supports the load. These sliders use concentric and eccentric cam rollers—concentric rollers carry the load, while eccentric rollers allow adjustment to remove play—enabling smooth, controlled motion. Adjustable pre-load increases rigidity and stability, with a maximum dynamic capacity of 19,650 N. Integrated oil-soaked felt wipers provide continuous lubrication to the raceways, while a scraper blade removes debris and contaminants to protect rolling surfaces in harsh environments. Rails are available with counterbore mounting (flat-bottom holes for thin-head screws that sit flush or below the surface) or you can click on the Configure button for custom countersunk mounting (angled holes for tapered screws that sit fully flush). With low friction, high rigidity, and rail lengths up to 3,200 mm, the Steel Rail Standard series is well suited for compact, high-speed automation and material handling applications.
