Miniature external-nut lead screw linear actuator with a 6mm screw diameter, 1mm lead, and 100mm length, featuring a round anti-backlash nut (RCF) to move and accurately position loads along a straight path. The programmable NEMA 8 stepper motor (20mm frame size, 29.5mm motor length) rotates the PTFE-coated, precision-rolled 300 Series stainless steel lead screw, driving the separate, non-rotating, load-carrying nut along its threads. Position, speed, acceleration, direction, and travel can be programmed using a compatible external motion controller and motor drive.

The round anti-backlash nut incorporates PBC Linear's Constant Force Technology™, using spring-loaded radial pressure to maintain thread engagement, reduce axial play, and compensate for wear, reducing backlash by 2–4 times over its service life. Manufactured in the USA using an automated CNC straightening process, the precision-rolled lead screw offers improved straightness, a smooth surface finish, and long-term durability. The actuator delivers a lead accuracy of 0.003in/ft (76µm/300mm), up to three times better than typical industry specifications.
