Closed shell plain linear bearings from the Simplicity® line are equipped with a self-lubricating FrelonGOLD® liner, delivering maintenance-free performance in harsh environments with extreme temperatures ranging from -400°F to +400°F (-240°C to 204°C), as well as resistance to dirt and vibration. These bearings are available in inch (3/16” to 4”), ISO metric (5mm to 80mm), and JIS sizes. Designed for end-supported shafting, they have static load capacities of up to 166,000 lb (740 kN) and can achieve maximum speeds of 8 m/s (315 in/s). Features include aluminum or stainless steel shells, standard or compensated ID clearances (0.0005" or 0.0015" per side), and either a standard or self-aligning outer diameter (OD).
They offer oil-free operation, vibration damping for smooth and quiet motion, and seal options (nitrile, urethane, viton for ½” ID or 20mm and up). Optional external lubrication and various mounting options, such as O-ring and retaining ring grooves, enhance their versatility. These bearings are interchangeable with linear ball bearings and some bronze bushings, making them suitable for heavy-load applications with movement in all directions (linear, rotational, and oscillating).
