Miniature external-nut lead screw linear actuator with a 6mm screw diameter, 1mm lead, and 200mm length, featuring a rectangle anti-backlash nut (VCF) to move and accurately position loads along a straight path. The programmable NEMA 8 stepper motor (20mm frame size, 29.5mm motor length) rotates the PTFE-coated, precision-rolled 300 Series stainless steel lead screw, driving the separate, non-rotating, load-carrying nut along its threads. Position, speed, acceleration, direction, and travel can be programmed using a compatible external motion controller and motor drive.
The rectangle anti-backlash nut (VCF) incorporates PBC Linear's Constant Force Technology™, using spring-loaded radial pressure to maintain thread engagement, reduce axial play, and compensate for wear, improving positioning repeatability. The actuator delivers a lead accuracy of 0.003in/ft (76µm/300mm), up to three times better than typical industry specifications.
