V-Wheel Bushings - V-Guide Series

V-wheel bushings are the mounting parts that hold V-wheel roller bearings in place so they can roll correctly along V-guide rails. In a v-rail linear guide system, the wheels do the rolling, the rails provide the track, and the bushings connect the wheels to a machine plate, carriage, or mounting surface. Made from corrosion-resistant 303 stainless steel, PBC Linear V-Guide® bushings are available to match the four industry-standard wheel diameters and come in concentric fixed and eccentric adjustable styles. Concentric fixed bushings are the “set position” option, with a round head and concentric bore for accurate fitting in the primary radial load direction. Eccentric adjustable bushings are the “fine adjustment” option, with a hexagonal head and off-center bore that moves the wheel slightly closer to or farther from the rail when turned. This allows the installer to adjust wheel contact, remove looseness, and set preload without forcing the wheel too tightly against the rail. In parallel rail systems, one rail can act as the fixed reference side while the opposite side is adjusted with eccentric bushings, making it easier to get smooth motion without wobble, over-tightening, or binding caused by small mounting differences between the two rails. V-Guide bushings are sold separately from the v-wheels and v-rails themselves.
