Full Extension Drawer Slides - SDS Side-by-Side
Ways to Order
Full extension drawer slides are telescoping linear rail assemblies built around a ball cage slide mechanism that allows a load-bearing platform to travel outward to its full usable length, exposing a supported tray, panel, bin, or platform beyond the mounting structure. Side-by-side drawer slides place two rail sections next to each other on the same side of the load, rather than mounting rails on opposite sides like conventional side-mount drawer slides. This same-side rail arrangement creates a narrow, beam-like structure for applications where space across the width is limited but guided motion, stiffness, and load support are still required.
PBC Linear’s SDS S-Beam heavy-duty steel drawer slides use two hardened steel SDP rails arranged side-by-side to create a compact, rigid slide system for narrow industrial designs. By positioning the rails shoulder-to-shoulder, the SDS Series helps reduce flex and maintain controlled alignment while supporting smooth extension under load. The side-by-side configuration is different from rear mount slides, which prioritize maximum outward reach from a rear mounting surface, and face mount slides, which use a more enclosed rail arrangement to help protect the ball cage and rolling elements from dust and debris. SDS side-by-side drawer slides are built for applications where the primary challenge is fitting heavy-duty extension into a slim mounting envelope while maintaining stable, controlled motion.
