Heavy-duty ball bearing linear slides with C-shaped linear guide rails, built around the same precision ball cage and hardened steel rail technology used in the PBC Linear steel drawer slide family, but with one important difference: instead of telescoping outward like a full extension drawer slide, SDC Series slides keep an internal carriage captured inside a fixed C-shaped external rail. The internal carriage is the moving load-carrying member, while the ball cage is a separate component that holds the steel balls between the carriage and rail surfaces. As the carriage is pulled or pushed inside the C-shaped fixed rail, the ball cage floats between that rail and the carriage, typically traveling about half the distance the carriage travels. This rolling contact provides low-friction guided motion, load distribution, and reduced wear.

Integrated mechanical end stops control travel within the rail length, helping protect internal components while keeping motion contained inside a fixed rail envelope. C-shaped rail geometry also allows multiple internal carriages to run on a single rail, supporting modular high-capacity motion systems. SDC Series slides are available with single- and double-direction stroke options, strokes up to 1310mm, rail lengths from 130mm to 1970mm, and load capacities up to 65272N. Common uses include heavy industrial platforms, large access panels, robotics staging systems, machine access systems, and other rugged applications where high load capacity, durability, and contained linear motion are required. The enclosed C-shaped geometry helps protect internal components from debris while maintaining consistent, guided motion.
