Double Plain Linear Bearings - Round Flanged, End Mount

Round flanged end-mounted double plain linear bearings combine the high-load, self-lubricating performance of Simplicity® plain bearing technology with an extended bearing body and a round mounting flange located at one end. The wider bearing surface distributes loads over a larger area and provides greater load capacity and stability for demanding round-shaft linear motion applications.

The aluminum bearing body contains a Frelon® liner bonded directly to the inside diameter. Unlike recirculating ball bearings, Simplicity® bearings have no rolling elements, allowing them to operate without external lubrication while providing smooth, quiet motion with excellent vibration damping. The Frelon® liner also helps tolerate dirt and other contaminants that can interfere with rolling-element bearings, making these bearings well suited for industrial automation, material handling, packaging, machine tools and other equipment operating in less-than-ideal environments.

The round flange positioned at the end of the bearing provides a simple, compact method of mounting the bearing directly to a machine plate, frame or structural member. Because the flange is located at one end rather than at the center of the bearing, the extended bearing body can project through or beyond the mounting surface, which can simplify installation and make more efficient use of available machine space.

FrelonGOLD® is the standard liner for general industrial applications. Frelon® J is available for applications involving corrosive chemicals or washdown conditions, while Frelon® W is available for food and pharmaceutical machinery requiring FDA-compliant materials. Standard and compensated ID running-clearance options allow the bearing fit to be matched to the shaft and application requirements.
