Closed Plain Linear Bearing Pillow Blocks of Stainless Steel - PBS

Closed stainless steel pillow block bearings are mountable bearing units that typically use stainless steel housings with inserted stainless steel plain bearings and FDA-compliant liners for food, drug, washdown, corrosion-sensitive, and clean-environment machinery. Closed shells are used with end-supported round shafts where full shaft enclosure is preferred during linear travel.

The PBC Linear stainless steel closed-shell variants listed below use straight-bore stainless steel housings with inserted closed-shell stainless steel plain bearings. These non-self-aligning pillow block bearings create a rigid assembly for single shaft applications where corrosion resistance, washdown compatibility, and oil-free linear motion are required. The standard FrelonJ® liner is self-lubricating and FDA compliant for use in food and drug handling equipment, but it is not intended for direct food-contact bearing applications; go to Configure to choose FrelonW® for direct food contact. Precision and compensated ID options are available: precision ID provides a tighter fit, while compensated ID adds running room better suited to faster travel. The bonded-liner construction resists dirt, vibration, shock loads, debris ingress, and lubricant washout. Available in inch sizes from 0.5" to 2" ID, with four pre-positioned mounting holes for standard-sized housing installation.
