Flanged Nut Ball Screw Assembly

Ball Screws with Flanged Nuts

Flanged nut ball screw assemblies convert rotary motion into precise linear travel as a ball nut containing recirculating balls moves along a helically grooved shaft, with the balls rolling through the helical grooves to reduce friction and support smooth motion. The nut includes an integral flange with mounting holes, allowing it to bolt directly to a plate, carriage or machine structure without a separate nut housing. This makes flanged nut assemblies compact, easy to mount and well suited for automation, positioning systems, etc.

These miniature BSR ball screw assemblies are manufactured in the United States with precision-rolled steel screw shafts. Six metric diameter-and-lead combinations are available, using 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm screw diameters with leads from 1 mm to 2.5 mm depending on size.

The nut uses an internal multi-liner recirculation system to guide the balls smoothly through the return path, helping provide low-friction motion, consistent positioning and efficient power transmission. Polymer seals at both ends of the nut help retain lubrication and protect the internal ball circuit from contamination.

Static axial load ratings reach 2.144 kN (482 lb), with precision grades available in Grades 5, 7 and 10. The combination of compact dimensions, direct flange mounting and efficient rolling motion makes these assemblies a strong fit for compact actuators, machine automation, positioning equipment and other limited-space linear motion systems.
