EconoGlide Plain Linear Bearings – Closed
Ways to Order
EconoGlide® closed-shell plain linear bearings use an injection-molded Frelon® IM polymer liner with lubricant impregnated into the liner pores for maintenance-free axial motion on end-supported round shafts, providing a cost-effective choice for accessible machinery where short downtime is the norm. Inner-diameter channels help move dust away from the shaft surface, making them well suited for dirty, dusty or clean environments where vibration, shock, oscillation, or rotational motion can lead recirculating ball bearings to potential catastrophic failure. For truly harsh or hard-to-access applications where downtime is costly, such as equipment exposed to welding spatter that must be brushed away from the shaft surface, PBC Linear premium Simplicity® plain linear bearings are typically the better choice. Available in inch ID sizes from 3/8" to 2" and ISO metric sizes from 10 mm to 50 mm, they are interchangeable with many linear ball bearings and some bronze bushings, making them a practical economical option for maintenance-free operation. Constructed with anodized aluminum shells, they include mounting options such as O-ring and retaining ring grooves.
